History
Sold new and delivered on July 11, 1939, to DeMorr Aeronautical Corporation and then sold to their customer, J. Morton Caldwell. It was sold as an ST-A special, crated and shipped via rail to DeMorr.
It was apparently used in the CPTP program in the Atlanta, Georgia area during WWII. In 1944 it was owned by the Defence Plants Corporation.
In 1955 it was owned and flown often by Lindsay N. Parsons. He kept it based at Fitchburg, Massachusetts while he was stationed with the USAF in the area.
In about 1957 he sold it to Bill and Virginia Fiore, both of whom flew it often in and around the Connecticut area. Sometime later it received substantial damage in an accident and the Fiores spent the better part of 3 years rebuilding it up to near perfect condition. It was later flown by Ev Cassagneres who found it to fly perfectly, hands off just like a new airplane.
In April 1963 they sold it to Arthur Yadven, and in the summer of 1968 he sold it to Brian Schoenmaker. The aircraft was owned jointly by three partners, but one, Mr Richard Leblanc bout the other two out, and moved the aircraft from New York to his private airfield in Easley, South Carolina. Subject to a long term restoration by Richard LeBlanc, unfortunately Mr. Leblanc passed away before completing the restoration, and the aircraft has now passed to his estate for future disposition.
