History

It was purchased initially by W.H. Irwin, along with several other ST`s. He in turn sold it on January 21st, 1936 to Franklin Farrel of New haven Connecticut. Popular local flyer and friend of Farrel, John `Jack`Tweed was sent to San Diego to pick up the airplane.

While out there he was entertained by Claude Ryan and in fact spent the night in Ryan’s home. Details are lacking but rumour has it that Tweed had to force land in Georgia, someplace.

Records indicate it was once serviced at the old Bethany Airport, Bethany, Connecticut.

Laurie Yonge purchased it for 1750.00 in May 1940, and used it for student training in Jacksonville Florida. He sold it before the year was out to West Raymond of Raymond Aviation in Macon, Georgia, who used it for student training in the CPTP program during WWII.

In 1946 it belonged to Charles Durham of Knoxville Tennessee

In September 1946 it was registered to Henry L. Gauntt of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

There was an accident reported to have happened on October 10th, 1946 when the airplane landed in a lake near Chattanooga.

No other details are known.

Present owner of any remains and paperwork is Fred Barber
